Prehistoric Park heads to China
Dinosaur adventure series Prehistoric Park is to be released in China via DVD after distributor FremantleMedia Enterprises inked a deal with CAV Warner Entertainment.
The move marks the first time a Fremantle property is released by a Hollywood studio’s distribution arm, albeit via a joint venture. The show, which was created by UK indie Impossible Pictures, will be released as six single DVDs as well as a boxset. Prehistoric Park is fronted by natural historian Nigel Marvin, who uses CGI to travel back in time to study the creatures.
It has already been sold to 52 broadcasters worlwide and a number of Asian home entertainment deals have also been negotiated.
CAV Warner Entertainment is a joint venture between Warner Home Video and China Audio&Video Publishing House.
