GI acquires worldwide rights to Captain Mack

Granada International, the distribution arm of UK commercial broadcaster ITV, has acquired the international rights to live action kids series Captain Mack, as first noted by TBIvision last month.

The show was produced by new UK indie Fireback, which was set by ex-Hit Entertainment and TV Loonland exec John Bullivant, for CITV. It comes as the channel announced plans to get back into commissioning.

Captain Mack is a 52x11mins live action series that follows the adventures of the eponymous Sky Captain. It was originally commissioned as an animated show by ITV in 2005 but was recently reversioned.
