Shine Reveille inks Canadian deal
Canadian broadcaster Rogers Media has inked a volume deal with distributor ShineReveille that includes a raft of network series.
The agreement, which was inked following last week’s LA Screenings, covers the slate of Media Rights Capital-produced shows that will air on The CW’s Sunday night block as well as other titles.
ShineReveille is distributing MRC shows including romantic comedy Valentine Inc, Las Vegas crime drama FAT City and Easy Money, a drama based on a family of loan sharks.
Rogers, which owns the youth-skewed CityTV channels, has also picked up The Goode Family, a Mike Judge-animated series for ABC, The Life and Times of Tim, a slacker comedy for HBO, Lifetime-sitcom Rita Rocks and Fox’s Outnumbered
Matt Vassallo, manager of international distribution and creative affairs at ShineReveille, told TBIvision: "People might not have thought of us as a scripted company but these new shows help us reach out to more buyers. We’re indie but we’re competing at a high level."
