Breakthrough snags Sex and the City’s Cattrall

Kim Cattrall has signed on to star in Breakthrough Animation’s latest animated series Producing Parker, which will air on Canwest Media’s E! channel.

The Sex and the City star will voice Dee, who plays the boss of a daytime talk show.

"No one’s done female animation yet so we’re hoping this breaks the myth that women don’t watch animation," said executive producer Kevin Gillis.

The show is produced by Breakthrough Animation and will be sold by international distribution arm Breakthrough Entertainment. Gillis added that he expected a French offer shortly and was also certain the show would be picked up in the US and the UK, where Cattrall is extremely hot at the moment following the success of the Sex and the City movie.
