Family Guy creator to bow online shorts this year
The set of original productions for the web developed by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane will be launched before the end of the year, TBIvision can reveal.
MacFarlane struck a deal with US producer Media RightsCapital (MRC) and web search giant Google last year. Some 50 original shorts will be launched via Google’s advertising network AdSense.
Keith Samples, head of TV at MRC, told TBIvision: "Seth MacFarlane is the lead project. The first of those will go out in the 3rd or 4th quarter. They are very funny and they’re in full blown production."
MRC’s digital division is headed by former Oglivy chief digital officer Dan Goodman.
MacFarlane is also currently in production with a new season of Fox’s Family Guy as well as recently picked up spin off The Cleveland Show.
