Phineas & Ferb director launches indie
The director hit Disney series Phineas & Ferb has launched his own independent production company and is taking three new series to Mipcom.
Robert Hughes has created Lincoln Butterfield Animation with Joseph Walker and has launched two adult animated series and one family cartoon.
When In Rome is a series for grown-ups loosely based on Robert Graves’ I Claudius novels, which follows two cousins’ adventures within the Roman Empire and Venture Probe is an adult skewing animated sci-fi comedy series about a space pilot and his incompetent corporate crew. Meanwhile, NIT: The Neighborhood Investigation Team is an Incredibles-inspired family comedy.
The company, which recently inked a distribution deal with Porchlight Entertainment for its Tan series, will be shopping these three series at Mipcom and looking for co-production and acquisition partners.
