Starz unveils Mipcom lineup
Starz Media has unveiled its largest ever slate for Mipcom including hot Spinal Tap-esque comedy Z-Rock and a number of new TV movies.
The distributor, which is owned by John Malone’s Liberty Media, is selling the 10x30mins IFC series Z-Rock for the first time. The semi-scripted show follows three New York musicians as they play in a serious rock n’roll band but moonlight during the day as a children’s party band.

Dead Space: Downfall is an animated sci-fi horror flick based on an Electronic Arts computer game. Romantic comedy Table For Three stars Superman Returns‘ Brandon Routh as a hapless guy whose budding romance is interrupted by his long time pal.Meanwhile, Christmas Proposal stars Baywatch‘s Nicole Eggert as a lawyer trying to save her small town from Tom Arnold’s nasty property development company.
Starz is also rolling out the second season of successful kids comedy Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and further episodes of sketch comedy The Whitest Kids You Know and Martin Lawrence Presents First Amendment Stand-Up.
