Vuguru launches Topps

Vuguru, the online production company set up by former Disney boss Michael Eisner, is to launch its latest series Back on Topps, and has struck an exclusive deal with Foxsports.com.

The 17 episode comedy series, which follows a pair of hapless heirs to the Topps trading card empire, will launch exclusively via News Corp-owned sports website Foxsports.com before being made available via a range of online video sites including YouTube, Veoh, Bebo, Hulu and iTunes.  

The series, which is sponsored by Skype, stars Entourage‘s Randy amd Jason Sklar and will have cameos from sports stars such as Dennis Rodman.

Eisner, who has already seen online success with series such as Prom Queen and The All-For-Nots, acquired the Topps card brand last year.
