#2: The Munsters: Mockingbird Lane (NBC)

Every year, the most high-profile series in development are the remakes, the reboots and reimaginations (however Hollywood is currently calling it). This year, one of the most buzzed about remakes is NBC’s version of The Munsters.

The Munsters, which was originally created by Allan Burns and Chris Hayward and aired on CBS during the 1960s, is the story depicting the home life of a family of monsters. The new version, which will known as Mockingbird Lane, a reference to the original address, will see Bryan Fuller, the man behind Pushing Daisies, try and turn this comic family, into a modern day concern.

Mockingbird Lane will be developed as an hour-long comedy drama with “spectacular visuals”. It will be produced by Universal Television Studios and Fuller’s The Living Dead Guy Productions.

Chances: Fair; although The Munsters is a well loved American brand, it could struggle under the weight of expectations the same way that David E. Kelly’s Wonder Woman pilot did last year.
