eOne brings Stanley Kubrick to TV

Acclaimed film director Stanley Kubrick is posthumously coming to the small screen after Entertainment One (eOne) struck deals to develop two projects, Downslope and God Fearing Man, written by the A Clockwork Orange creator.

The company has teamed with Kubrick’s son-in-law Philip Hobbs and sci-fi producer Steve Lanning to develop and produce the projects, which were both written by Kubrick, for television.

Downslope is an epic Civil War drama following Confederate Army colonel John S. Mosby and his plot to enact revenge on Custer, while God Fearing Man tells the story of a Canadian minister who became one of the best safe crackers and most successful bank robbers in America in the early 20th Century.

eOne is currently shopping both projects to broadcasters and will distribute them internationally.
