AOL launches Vuguru’s Greetings From Home
Online video service AOL has commissioned Michael Eisner’s digital production studio Vuguru to produce family comedy series Greetings From Home.
The live action series has been produced in association with BermanBraun.
Greetings From Home is the third series from Vuguru as part of its six part production deal with AOL and follows the success of Little Women Big Cars and romantic comedy Fetching.
The 14-part series was written by Bill Rosenthal (Sabrina, the Teenage Witch), Bill Masters (Murphy Brown) and Michael Davidoff (Men At Work), directed by Jared Drake (Z) and exec produced by Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun.
It tells the story of soldier Pete Griffin, who loses his leg in combat and is sent back home to look after his children, while his nurse wife is sent to Afghanistan.
