Studio 100 and Little Airplane making animated Bumba series
Studio 100 and Little Airplane are jointly producing a new animated Bumba series.
The Studio 100 property is the top-ranked preschool brand in the Benelux region where there is a long-running puppet series featuring the clown character.
It will now be reworked as an animated series for the international kids TV market.
The producers plan to make the new Bumba show a 52x11mins 2D series. It will be produced in the New York studio of Little Airplane, the production company behind Wonder Pets and Small Potatoes.
Studio 100 will distribute the new show internationally. No broadcast partner has been announced.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Studio 100 to bring Bumba to an international audience,” said Josh Selig, president of Little Airplane Productions. “It’s one of the funniest shows I have ever seen and I know the preschoolers will love it!”
