BBC Worldwide sells 200 hours to LifeStyle Network
BBC Worldwide has sold a package of 200+ hours of lifestyle programming into Australia. Foxtel-backed pay TV network LifeStyle has acquired the shows.
Titles covered by the deal include property series Phil Spencer Secret Agent and DIY SOS and cooking series Hairy Bikers: Best of British and Hairy Bikers: Everyday Gourmet, which will be shown on LifeStyle Food.
Other series picked up include Flog It and Bargain Hunt.
LifeStyle is run by XYZ networks, a joint venture between Australian pay TV operators Foxtel and Austar. It runs a four channel bouquet: The LifeStyle Channel, LifeStyle Food, LifeStyle Home and LifeStyle You.
Duane Hatherly, general manager LifeStyle Channels, said: “The LifeStyle channels and Foxtel have enjoyed a long-standing and valuable relationship with BBC Worldwide. It’s terrific to see this alliance continue to be fruitful.”
