Celestial Tiger hires Fox exec

Lionsgate, Saban and Celestial joint venture Celestial Tiger has hired Magdalene Cheung from Fox International Channels.

She will be director of advertising sales at the Asian channel operator, a role she previously held at FIC.

Celestial Tiger has also upped Annie Chan to director, affiliate sales. Before joining Celestial she worked at UK telco BT.

The Asian firm is run by Todd Miller who was previously the head of Sony’s channels business in the region.

Speaking about the appointments, he said: “Their extensive industry experience will help sustain the tremendous momentum we have built up since the company began ten months ago, and these appointments complete the first phase of the ongoing expansion of our team.”

Celestial Tiger’s bouquet of channels comprises: Celestial Classic Movies, Celestial Movies, Kix and Thrill.
