ABC gives full season orders to The Neighbors, Scandal
US network ABC has given full season orders to comedy The Neighbors and freshman political thriller Scandal.
The Neighbors is the latest series to be given more episodes by the Disney-owned network following additional scripts for submarine drama Last Resort and horror series 666 Park Avenue. The Neighbors is written by Cars’ Dan Fogelman and has performed well in its Wednesday night slot and has been ordered for 22 episodes. It follows a family who move into a town populated by aliens posing as humans.
Meanwhile, ABC has also given Kerry Washington-fronted drama Scandal a back nine order. This means that the show’s sophomore season will grow from 13 episodes to 22 episodes. The show, which is set in Washington DC and follows a political fixer, is exec produced by Grey’s Anatomy’s Shonda Rhimes.
