MTV orders third Jersey Shore spin-off

MTV has ordered a third Jersey Shore spin-off, commissioning a hybrid talk show, reality series with Vinny Guadagnino.

The broadcaster will launch The Show with Vinny, which will be produced by SallyAnn Salsano’s 495 Productions, the company behind MTV’s smash hit Jersey Shore.

This comes as the reality series finishes its run of six seasons and follows reality series Snooki & JWOWW and The Pauly D Project.

The show will combine the reality of Guadagnino’s home life with unscripted interviews with celebrities and will see his mother and uncle join in the conversations.

“Vinny’s unique mix of humor, intelligence, curiosity and heart make him the perfect choice for this genre busting take on the interview format,” said Chris Linn, MTV EVP, programming and head of production. “As the lives of the Jersey Shore cast evolve, we are excited to explore new ground while still delivering the laughs and surprises that fans have come to expect from the franchise.”
