Jane Millichip leaving Zodiak following restructure
Jane Millichip is to leave Zodiak Rights in the new year following a restructure of the company’s international distribution business.
Millichip will leave the company at the end of January 2013. She was most recently managing director of Zodiak Rights, the company’s sales arm, a position she held since July 2010. Before that she was chief operating officer of RDF Rights and has previously held roles including managing director of New Zealand production company South Pacific Pictures and senior commissioning editor, Living.
This comes as parent company restructures its London and Paris based distribution businesses.
The company will launch five genre specific divisions; non scripted programming including documentaries, factual entertainment and formats will be sold out of London along with kids, digital and publishing and clips, while all scripted programming including drama, comedy and feature films will be sold out of Paris.
Subsequently, Zodiak Rights will be recruiting for a new head of its non-scripted division.
Matthew Frank, CEO Zodiak Rights, said: “This new structure and appointment is a great way to start the New Year for Zodiak Rights. It will provide absolute clarity for buyers on where they should be going for scripted and non-scripted programming and add great operational expertise to the company.”
He added: “Jane Millichip has been a huge asset to the company and I am very sorry to see her leave. She has been my wing-woman and support over many years and life will seem very strange without her. I fully respect her decision to go and wish her well in her next adventure wherever that may be.”
Separately, the company has hired former Kidsco, Discovery, Nickelodeon executive Sara Wookey as chief operating officer.
