New Zealand’s NHNZ hires three new producers
Fox-owned New Zealand factual producer NHNZ has hired three new producers to work across its slate of documentaries and reality series.
The company has hired Robin Shingleton, Colette Beaudry and Lorne Townend. All three will report to NHNZ’s head of production Andrew Waterworth.
Townend previously produced History Channel’s 12-part series Mankind: The Story of All of Us and will work on NHNZ’s forthcoming science, natural history series Life Force II, which is a coproduction with NHK, Science Channel, Discovery International and Arte.
Shingleton, meanwhile, joins the company to produce TVNZ’s Wild About NZ. He previously worked on Abalone Wars for Discovery Networks Asia Pacific.
Finally, Beaudry will produce OceaNZ, a six part series for TVNZ, following her work on a number of series for National Geographic Channels including The Dog Whisperer and Inside 9/11.
“NHNZ has a lot of production on the go, including the on-going series I Survived… for A&E Networks’ Bio Channel, another round of Built for the Kill for National Geographic Wild and two series for TVNZ, so we’re building up our talent pool for any new productions greenlit. It’s great to be able to bring people from all over the world to work with us on our growing range of productions,” said Waterworth.
