CMT hires new development executive Joe Livecchi
Viacom-owned US cable network CMT has hired former NBC executive Joe Livecchi to run development.
Livecchi will become senior vice president, development at the broadcaster and will report to Jayson Dinsmore, executive vice president, development and programming. He will be based at the Viacom Media Network headquarters in New York and will be in charge of CMT’s west coast development team of Claire McCabe, Melanie Moreau and Eliot Goldberg, who will report to him.
Livecchi was most recently owner and executive producer at Majority Rules Media, a production company that had an output deal with ITV Studios and has sold projects to broadcasters including CBS, A&E and The Food Network.
He has also worked with BBC Worldwide on TLC’s What Not To Wear and Endemol USA on series including SoapNet’s Southern Belles and The CW’s Nanny Dallas. He was also vice president and creative director at NBC and worked on campaigns for shows including Friends and The Apprentice.
“As we continue to drive forward our ambitious plan to provide more surprising, engaging, and compelling programming, having Joe in the mix will be a tremendous asset to CMT. I couldn’t be happier to bring him on board,” said Dinsmore.
