CBS Action acquires serial killer drama Dexter
Serial killer drama Dexter is heading back to the UK after CBS Chello Zone UK Channels struck a deal with CBS Studios International.
The Michael C. Hall-fronted drama, which airs on US cable network Showtime, will launch on CBS Action in December. Season one will air on December 5, while season two will launch on December 21.
Pay TV network FX UK previously aired the first run of Dexter in the UK.
CBS Chello Zone UK Channels is a joint venture between the Hollywood studio and broadcaster and European broadcast group Chello Zone. It airs six entertainment channels on Sky, Virgin and Freesat.
Chris Sharp, chief programming officer at CBS Chello Zone UK Channels, said: “We are thrilled to be able to bring yet another internationally acclaimed programme to CBS Action viewers this December. Action fans will have the opportunity to get to know Dexter from the very beginning, with season 2 also airing in December but watch out; he gets under your skin!”
