Int’l broadcasters to remake Global Agency’s Blind Taste
A raft of Eastern European broadcasters are to remake food format Blind Taste after striking a deal with Turkish distributor Global Agency.
Russia’s MTV and Ukraine’s K1 are to produce local versions of the format that will launch in January. The format has also been optioned in France, Italy, Spain and Bulgaria and Global Agency is confident of striking deals in a number of other territories this year.
The format, which was created by the company behind Shopping Monsters, was originally created in Turkey.
It sees amateur chefs judging one another’s dishes in a series of blind taste tests. Each week, a celebrity chef teaches four contestants how to cook a new recipe and once the contestants cook it themselves they are judged by their rivals.
Global Agency will also be shopping the format at the Asia Television Forum in Singapore this week.
