Kwanza poaches French producer Robert Salvestrin

French producer and distributor Kwanza has poached Gedeon Programmes exec Robert Salvestrin as it looks to ramp up its sales and coproductions business.

Salvestrin, who will be in charge of sales, pre-sales and coproductions, was previously vice president of presales and coproductions at Gedeon Programmes and worked setting up documentary coproductions with broadcasters including Canal+ (France), 3NET (US), Discovery (UK), BR-ARD (Germany) and BeTV (Belgium).

Kwanza, which is based in Paris, produces documentaries including The Fabulous Fate of Siam the Elephant.
