BBC and Endemol bosses confirmed for MIP TV keynotes
BBC controller of drama Ben Stephenson and Tim Hincks, president of global entertainment producer Endemol, will give keynote addresses at MIP TV in April.
Hincks will give a Media Mastermind keynote touching on the major changes affecting the TV industry and how these impact on creativity.
Ahead of speaking he said: “The pace of change across the global content industry makes this an exceptionally exciting period for creative people and organisations. The 50th anniversary of MIPTV is great occasion to celebrate this and I very much look forward to taking part.”
Stephenson, meanwhile talk about the relationship between producers and commissioners.
Sophie Turner Laing, managing director of entertainment, news and broadcast operations at UK pay TV operator BSkyB has already been confirmed as a speaker at MIP TV.
MIP organisers also said that they would give US cable network Starz’ upcoming period drama Da Vinci’sDemons. The show, which is distributed by BBC Worldwide, was created by David Goyer (Flash Forward, Batman Begins) and follows the tumultuous early life of the artist and inventor.
