Seven Network buys Woodlies special

Australian free-to-air network Seven has acquired a feature-length instalment of animated property The Woodlies.

Seven Network has already aired the regular The Woodlies animated series. It will air the The Woodlies Movie in late February.

The animated property, about a group of trolls and based on the Cornelia Funke novel No Cookies for Troll, is produced by Australia’s Flying Bark and Ireland’s Telegael. It is distributed by Studio 100 in certain territories.

The special has already been sold to ZDF and Universum for theatrical and home entertainment releases in Germany, where the regular series airs on kids net KI.KA.
