Discovery green lights High Tech Rednecks

Discovery World has ordered a new series about a crew of mechanics that make outlandish cars, High Tech Rednecks.

The 8x60mins show is being made for the Canadian Discovery channel by indie producer Shark Teeth Films.

Action-themed US cable channel MAVTV has also acquired the show.

The producer has also won a pilot order from the main Discovery Canada channel for Lowcountry Raiders, about a team of US fossil divers.

“It’s exciting to have two shows with the Discovery Canada family, and also have such strong support from MAVTV in the United States,” said Tom Mudd and Adrian Carter, co-owners of Shark Teeth Films.
