Broadcasters take The Simpsons short film
Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution has made The Simpsons spin-off short film The Longest Daycare available to a host of international broadcasters.
The four-minute film, which features Maggie Simpson, was developed for a theatrical release and Fox has made it available to broadcasters including Sky 1 and Sky 3D in the UK and M6’s digital channel W9 in France.
The show, which was written and produced by The Simpsons’ Al Jean (pictured), will launch on these and other, unspecified, channels from later this month.
The critically-acclaimed film was originally screened in 3D and 2D in US cinemas last summer as a short feature shown ahead of Fox’s Ice Age: Continental Drift.
In the US, Maggie Simpson in The Longest Daycare will premiere on February 17on broadcast network Fox.
