FX orders more Archer
FX has ordered a new season of animated secret agent comedy Archer.
The US cablenet is currently midway through transmitting the fourth season of the show, which will run until April, and has placed an order for a thirteen-episode fifth series.
Fox’s FX said the show is the second highest rating cable series for men in the 18-to-34 demographic, only lagging zombie series The Walking Dead. It is the number one cable programme overall in its 10pm Thursday timeslot, FX added.
The show was created by Floyd County Productions and is produced by FX Productions. FX has locked Floyd County into an overall deal in the wake of the success of Archer.
The half-hour animated comedy revolves around secret agent Sterling Archer and the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS) spy agency. It first aired on FX in late 2009.
