MIPTV News: Twofour tucks in Bedtime Live format
UK distributor Twofour Rights is bringing a new sleep-themed format that broadcasts live from the homes of exhausted parents to MIPTV.
Twofour Rights, producer Twofour’s distribution arm, will debut 5x60mins Bedtime Live at the market. The format, which went out on Channel 4, sees sleep specialists attempt to help parents put their children to sleep. Viewers are able to follow the parents’ progress throughout the evening’s TV schedule.
The show is part of Twofour’s MIPTV slate, which comprises more than 200 hours of features, factual and entertainment programming.
Other new shows include 6x60mins/2x60mins Alex Polizzi: The Fixer, which sees an internationally recognised hotelier attempt to help failing hotels; ITV’s 4x60mins fixed rig series Happy Families, which aims to provide a revealing look at modern families; and 8x30mins/3x60mins The Body Shocking Show, in which comic magician Pete Firman and presenter Jessica-Jane Clement explore the world of shocking bodies.
Twofour Rights head of sales Anthony Appell said formats such as Bedtime Live showed the company was offering buyers “a greater variety and volume” than in the past.
