Sweden finds Absolutely’s Family
A Swedish broadcaster has acquired the Australian version of Find My Family, the much-travelled factual entertainment format.
Among deals scored at MIPTV last week, TV4 bought all 42 episodes of the Quail Television-produced show, which broadcast on Seven Network, from distributor Absolutely Independent.
The Dutch-created format, in which families are reunited, has previously been sold to territories including the US, where it ran on ABC, and the UK. It originated on KRO as Spoorloos.
In related news, Absolutely said scripted reality format Behind Closed Doors sold into France, Turkey, Italy and Denmark; while Caught in the Act scored deals in Hungary, Germany, Serbia and Poland.
An unnamed Finnish company has bought format rights to Holland for Sale, while a Turkish firm will remake gameshow Get the Picture.
Meanwhile, Teen Mom, Celebrity Support, which debuted in Cannes, has secured a format remake in Norway.
