Style showcases development slate

US cable channel Style has unveiled a nine-strong development slate, including series from Endemol-owned 51 Minds, Lionsgate Entertainment and Bunim-Murray Productions.

The 51 Minds series is Selita (working title), a docu-series that follows supermodel Selita Banks as she hits 30 and shifts her focus from the catwalk to the high street by launching a clothing line. Chris Abrego, Ben Samek and Rabih Gholam are executive producers.

From Lionsgate comes The Fabulist (w/t), which has Eli Frankel attached to exec produce. It’s billed as a “humorous half-hour countdown show” featuring tastemakers and pop culture junkies who debate luxury living.

Banijay-owned Bunim-Murray are behind Reconstructing Beverly Hills (w/t), which has Jonathan Murray, Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins and Rachel Speiser Schwartz as executive producers. Each episode follows patients who’ve had plastic surgery that’s gone wrong.

The slate also includes Crazy Beautiful (w/t), which comes from 20 West Productions with Scot Thor as exec producer. It “provides intimate access to some of the bizarre, over-the-top and, often times, painful beauty regimens and procedures women will endure to achieve their desired looks”.

Fashion Phenoms (w/t) is from Bray Entertainment and pits child fashion designers against each other, while Keep the Party Moving! (w/t) is from Cineflix and uses into the ‘progressive dinner’ home entertainment trend as a backdrop for a competition series.

Schweet Entertainment-produced Style Junkies (w/t) is a comedic look at fashion-obsessed individuals and has Jack Osbourne attached as exec producer, while Matched by Design (w/t) is from PB&J Television and is a half-hour makeover show. Finally, Power House (w/t) comes from Magilla Entertainment and looks at a luxury real estate agency in New York billed as “the first to be owned by an African American woman”.

The shows add to a development slate that already includes Charlize Theron-exec produced competition series Glam Squad (w/t) . Style is part of the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group.
