Sparks gets Russian member
Studio 2V has joined Sparks Networks’ Fiction Network.
The 15-year-old Russian indie producer made the local version of NBC series Law & Order as well as taking rights to various international formats including Jeopardy and Wife Swap.
Nicola Söderlund, managing director of Sparks Networks, said: “Sparks Networks has been absent in Russia for some time so we are very pleased to have Studio 2V onboard. Russia is becoming increasingly important when it comes to fiction, both from an acquisition and sales perspective.”
Tatiana Zakharchenko from Studio 2V said: “Studio 2V welcomes this fantastic opportunity with a long-term aim of breaking into new markets and producing universally-appealing content for a worldwide audience”.
Sparks Fiction Network has one member country per territory and members pool formats and ideas. The Sparks distribution team, now known as Ecchorights, represents the ready-mades and format rights of Sparks members.
