Gandolfini onboard as HBO revives Criminal Justice
The Sopranos star James Gandolfini is to star in another HBO series – the newly revived drama Criminal Justice.
US premium cablenet HBO passed on Justice’s pilot in February but has now commissioned a seven-part limited series with Gandolfini attached to star as an attorney defending a Pakistani man accused of murdering a girl in New York.
HBO will produce in association with BBC Worldwide Productions
The series is loosely based on the BBC’s 2008 series of the same name from Peter Moffat, which won a pair of BAFTAs and an International Emmy.
Moffat will exec produce along with Steven Zaillian, Gandolfini, Jane Tranter, Mark Armstrong and Nancy Saunders.
