Beyonce concert to broadcast in 150 territories
A concert in aid of female empowerment starring singer Beyoncé Knowles will broadcast in 150 territories, it has been confirmed.
The Sound of Change concert on June 1 will see former Destiny’s Child star Beyoncé (left) joined by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, John Legend and Ellie Goulding, with Archbishop Desmond Tutu among the presenters. It aims to raise women’s issues and is backed by fashion brand Gucci.
The complete channel line-up for the event is Network Ten in Australia, American Forces Network, TV Globo in Brazil, TLN in Canada, DR in Denmark, YLE in Finland, M6 in France, Star (across the Indian subcontinent), IBA in Israel, WOWOW in Japan, CJ E& M in Korea, RTK in Kosovo, DirecTV’s OnDirecTV channel in Latin America, Rotana in the Middle East, Astro in east and southeast Asia, TV2 in Norway, Sky Italia in Italy, SVT in Sweden, CNN Turk and TV2 in Turkey, BBC in the UK, NBC in the US and True Visions in Thailand.
Japanese premium pay TV platform WOWOW has also acquired local rights to HBO documentary Beyoncé: Life is But a Dream.
