MIPCOM 2013 keynote speakers announced
The keynote speakers in the ‘Media Mastermind’ strand for this year’s MIPCOM have been announced.
Event organisers Reed Midem have signed up Frances Berwick, president of US cable net Bravo; Cécile Frot-Coutaz (pictured), CEO, FremantleMedia; Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO, Relativity Media; and Roy Price, director of Amazon Studios for this year’s conference.
Reed Midem said the line-up reflects the current ‘Golden Age’ of television.
Laurine Garaude, director of Reed Midem’s television division said: “As we enter a new golden age of television, MIPCOM is delighted to welcome some of the most influential personalities of the new world of content from major film, television and online companies.”
Berwick runs the Bravo and Style cable nets, which have just greenlit their largest ever slate of original programmes.
Cécile Frot-Coutaz runs FremantleMedia, having replaced Tony Cohen last year.
Kavanaugh’s Relativity is billed as a next-generation studio and has produced a long list of movies. In TV it has made reality series including The Great Food Truck Race and is now moving into scripted programming.
Roy Price runs Amazon’s original content unit Amazon Studios, which recently greenlit its first slate of original series.
