NBC poaches ABC exec for international copro role
US broadcast net NBC has recruited Quinn Taylor as its new executive VP, movies, miniseries and international coproductions.
Taylor joins from rival network ABC where he had been since 1996, most recently as VP, movies, miniseries and acquisitions.
At NBC he will oversee all development and programming of original movies and miniseries, as well as longform acquisitions.
He will also play a key role in international copros, working with NBC’s international division or third-party producers.
NBC’s current programming roster with an international copro element includes Hannibal (above), with the international division of Gaumont, Camp with Australia’s Matchbox and Dracula with UK producer Carnival. Carnival and Matchbox are backed by NBC.
Jennifer Salke, president, NBC Entertainment said. “NBC is excited to be back in the longform programming business – an area where the network has played a leadership role in the past.”
Taylor’s production credits include Rookie Blue, Titanic and several Stephen King miniseries.
