A+E inks CEE deals ahead of NATPE
A+E has concluded a raft of programming deals with broadcasters in Central and Eastern Europe ahead of the NATPE programming market next week.
Czech pubcaster CT has bought factual shows including Universe, Weapons of War and Tales of the Gun.
Regional factual channel Spektrum has acquired a package that includes 10 Things You Don’t Know About, 7 Days of Sex (pictured), Beyond Scared Straight and Billy the Exterminator.
TTV in Poland has picked up Storage Wars, Billy the Exterminator and Hoarders and Ukraine’s Mega has taken a package including Mankind The Story of All of Us, America’s Book of Secrets and Food Tech and Viasat has bought Ax Men and Dog the Bounty Hunter for its service in the Balkans.
“We’ve seen increased interest among our Central and Eastern European buyers for our character-driven content given the success of this genre in the United States,” noted Marielle Zuccarelli, managing director International content distribution for A+E Networks.
