Got Talent to launch in Afghanistan
Got Talent is launching in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan’s Got Talent will launch on local broadcaster 1TV Media later this year after a deal was brokered with the talent format’s distributor FremantleMedia.
FremantleMedia said that the Afghan launch would be the 55th local version of the show, which first launched as a full series on US network NBC in 2006.
The distributor said it has inked 58 format deals in all for Got Talent with details of three more local versions to be announced. It has shopped the finished version of America’s Got Talent into 180 countries.
Rob Clark, director, global entertainment development, FremantleMedia said: “[Got Talent] is a uniquely global entertainment show that transcends cultures and countries, becoming a firm audience favourite.”
