Discovery buys WW2 Malta doc

Discovery has acquired Heroes in the Sky, a one-off documentary film about the Nazi siege on the island of Malta.

The factual channel has picked up European rights to the one-hour doc. It is made by UK indie Halo Pictures.

Heroes in the Sky uses archive and interviews to tell the story of the international band of young pilots that rallied to defend Malta, which was one of the most bombed areas during World War II.

The film is distributed by London-based Indigo Film & Television.
