Simpsons, Family Guy to meet for first time

Characters from animated series The Simpsons and Family Guy are to unite on Fox for the first time.

In an episode of Family Guy scheduled for fall next year titled ‘The Simpsons Guy’, Family Guy‘s Griffins will land in the Simpsons’ fictional home town Springfield, where the two iconic families will meet.

Themes of the ep will include Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin arguing the virtues of Duff and Pawtucket lager, Stewie Griffin taking a liking to Bart Simpson’s rebel-without-a-cause attitude and Lisa Simpson taking Meg Griffin under her wing.

Family Guy is now in its eleventh season, while The Simpsons remains the longest continuous running scripted series in history and is now on record 25th season. Both shows are products of the 20th Century Fox Television studio.
