News brief: Moonscoop to reboot Archie comics for TV

Moonscoop in the US is coproducing a reboot of 70 year-old comic book franchise Archie.
It’s Archie will be a 2D animated series featuring characters such as Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones and launch to the international market at MIPJunior in October.
Moonscoop US, whose French counterpart Moonscoop France earlier this month went into administration, is coproducing the new series with Archie Comics.
More than two billion Archie comics have been sold since the brand launched in 1941.
