New look A+E programing team ups four
A+E Networks has followed its recent appointment of a new top programming team by promoting four executives at History, H2, Lifetime and Bio.
The Hatfields and McCoys channel operator had named Elaine Frontain Bryant as senior VP, development and programming, History; Paul Cabana as Senior VP and head of programming, H2; Mary Donahue as senior VP, non-fiction programming, Lifetime; and Gena McCarthy as senior VP of programming, Bio.
The new appointments come into effect on September 3, with Frontain Bryant and Cabana reporting into History and H2’s executive VP and general manager Dirk Hoogstra; Donahue into Lifetime’s senior VP and head of development Eli Lehrer; and McCarthy into bio and LMN president Jana Bennett.
Frontain Bryant is currently senior VP, non-fiction and alternative programming, A&E; Cabana is working in a top role at H2; Donahue is VP, programming and development, History; and McCarthy is senior VP, non-fiction programming, History.
This comes two months after the unveiling Jana Bennett as head of LMN and Bio and handed top level promotions to Robert DeBitetto, Dirk Hoogstra and David McKillop (pictured above).
Bennett, Hoogstra and executive VP and general manager of Lifetime Rob Sharenow said in a joint statement: “The extraordinary bench strength of our creative teams at A+E Networks allows us to give key executives new opportunities across our portfolio. These exceptionally talented leaders have proven themselves time and again with their vision, instincts and passion.”
It has been all change for A+E this year, with long term CEO and chairman Abbe Raven stepping back to allow Nancy Dubuc to take the reins at the top of the tree.
