Nat Geo launches pan-Asian ghost series
National Geographic Channel Asia is launching paranormal series I Wouldn’t Go in There across its networks in the region.
The ten-part series follows blogger Robert Joe (RJ) on a mission to investigate the stories behind some of Asia’s most reputedly haunted sites.
Commissioned by National Geographic Channel Asia, the series is produced by InFocus Asia with support from the Media Development Authority of Singapore.
Fox International Channels, which runs Nat Geo, is ramping up originals across its family of channels and has said it is looking for local, returnable series.
“There are plans on the table to produce additional original programming for the benefit of local audiences,” said Mark Francis, VP, production and development, Asia-Pacific for FIC. “I Wouldn’t Go in There is an original idea that we developed internally at the channel and it’s the first of a new breed of stylish, contemporary factual programmes made out of our region.”
