News brief: Money Moron, Rednecks find new homes
Canadian producer-distributor Peacock Alley has sold lifestyle series Money Moron and petrol-head show High Tech Rednecks to a batch of broadcasters.
The 24x30mins Money Moron, produced in-house and in which TV personality Gail Vaz-Oxlade offers financial advice to reckless spenders, has gone to TVA in Quebec.
The 8x60mins High Tech Rednecks, meanwhile, which comes from Shark Teeth Films and originally broadcast on Discovery in Canada, has gone to Discovery in Asia, Seven Network in Australia and RTL Nitro in Germany.
Peacock Alley will be in Cannes at MIPCOM selling programming from its new distribution arm for the first time next month. The company hired former DHX sales exec Craig McGillivray as its VP, distribution, earlier this year.
