Off the Fence expands ahead of MIPCOM
Producer and distributor Off the Fence has hired a new development executive who will work out of its recently-opened LA office. It has brought on Havva Eisenbaum (below left) as VP.
She will create formats and ideas for US broadcasters.
Eisennbaum spent eight years at PB&J Media where she developed series including The CW’s Blonde Charity Mafia, HGTV’s The Auction House and Logo’s Bad Sex. She will report to London-based Allison Bean, managing director of OTF Productions.
The hire comes as OTF heads into MIPCOM with a slate of factual, fact-ent and reality shows.
The slate is headed by Bible Hunters (pictured below), which was made by UK indie CTVC for the BBC in the UK and Smithsonian in the US. It charts the activity, at the start of the last century, of a group searching for ancient biblical texts and artifacts.
OTF will be launching two series that went out on US Latino-skewing cable net Nuvo TV in Cannes. Nine-part Curvy Girls follows four plus size Latino models as they negotiate the LA modelling scene. It was produced by US indie Stage 3 Productions.
Model Latin, which was produced in-house at Nuvo, is a 57x60mins modelling completion show for US Latinas.
Also for the market is one-hour special Methbusters, which OTF produced for Nat Geo and MSNBC. It follows the narcotics task force in Franklin County Missouri as they tackle the local drug epidemic.
