Formats the key for Keshet in Cannes
Keshet Media’s international sales arm will head to Cannes with a batch of new formats and scripted series She’s with Me (pictured).
Following the announcement of lead format Rising Star, Keshet International will also be in Palais with docu-reality format Marathon, in which ordinary people come together to run a marathon. It launched on Israel’s Channel 2 to a 29.5% last week.
Another non-scripted show, Face 2 Face, is billed as “a studio dating show designed for the 21st century”, while Pick a Pocket is a gameshow in which passers by can win money out of contestants wallets through trivia games.
Elsewhere, scripted reality series What Happens In… sees nine celebrities charged with running the entertainment activities at an Israeli resort hotel while preparing for a musical show.
On the scripted drama side, She’s with Me is an unusual love story about an ‘It’ girl who falls in love with a simple baker boy and comes from Endemol Israel.
“It has all the ingredients of a fairytale but is a realistic love story,” Keshet International’s head of acquisitions Keren Shahar told TBI.
