CCTV likes The Taste of Red Arrow format
Chinese state broadcaster CCTV has ordered a version of Red Arrow International’s cooking competition format The Taste.
CCTV2 has put out a casting call for contestants in major Chinese cities ahead of a local broadcast premiere in China in November.
Red Arrow International parent Red Arrow Entertainment assisted in the production of the show, which will be know locally as The Big Battle of the Taste, along with Yadii and CCTV.
“The love of food is universal and no cuisine more versatile and diverse as Chinese cooking, so The Taste is the ideal format for China’s largest broadcaster,” said Red Arrow International’s senior VP, sales, Asia Pacific, Yan He.
