News brief: Portuguese net bags banking pre-sales

Portugal’s TVI has acquired 14 titles from French distributor Java Films following MIPCOM last week.

Among the package is Banking Nature, a 1x90mins/1x52mins show about the commercialisation of the natural world by the likes of Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. The show, from Via Decouvertes, has also pre-sold to Arte.

Other titles included in the package include Underhand Tactics: The Untaxables, GPS: A Global War, Mossad: Killers of the State and Kidnapped by North Korea.

Java is based in Paris and specialises in hard hitting documentary content.
