Shine America raids Viacom, A+E for exec appointments

The US division of Shine Group has recruited business affairs execs Michael Minden and Yvonne Rena Bennett.

Minden will be senior VP, business affairs and head of entertainment and legal at Shine America. He joins from Viacom Media Networks (fka MTV Networks).

Bennett joins Shine from A+E where she was VP, business and legal affairs. In her new role she will focus on the company’s ancillary and L&M division Shine 360˚.

Jeffrey Schneider, executive VP, business and legal affairs and general counsel at Shine America, who joined the company in July, said: “Mike is a veteran entertainment business affairs executive with contacts throughout the industry who can handle anything from scripted to reality and Yvonne is one of the most versatile entertainment lawyers I have worked with.”

Shine America makes is currently working on a US version of UK serialised crime drama Broadchurch. Its other shows include MasterChef (pictured) and The Biggest Loser.
