Vice Media and Pulse Films form US partnership
Edgy youth brand Vice and UK-based producer Pulse Films have agreed a strategic partnership and will work together on a range of projects.
The agreement will see Vice help Pulse further its US ambitions in the scripted, unscripted, digital and feature film realms with a raft of coproduced projects going out on Vice’s online channels.
The pair have already worked together on LCD Soundsystem’s feature doc Shut Up and Play the Hits. They did not give any details of the new coproduced content.
“Having worked together closely with our friends at Vice over a number of years, we found that we shared many creative, cultural, and commercial goals,” said Thomas Benski, CEO, Pulse Films. “We are very ambitious about what we can achieve in the US and how we see Pulse continuing to grow internationally and this partnership will bolster the development of all of our creative projects.”
Vice, which counts 21st Century Fox as a minority shareholder, operates several digital channels including music service Noisey, The Creators Project, dedicated to the arts and creativity; Motherboard, covering arts and culture in the technology space; Thump, focusing on global dance and electronic music; and Fightland, an mixed martial arts channel.
