Nick to Go Viral with Ryan Seacrest
US kids channel Nickelodeon has greenlit a 40-episode studio game show from presenter Ryan Seacrest’s production outfit.
Go Viral (WT) will be a half-hour show in which kid contestants will compete in elimination challenges themed around viral videos. It is set for air in summer 2014, with production commencing early next year in LA.
Ryan Seacrest Productions is attached to produce, with Seacrest and RSP CEO Adam Sher executive producing.
“We’re excited to be working with Ryan Seacrest Productions on this show that captures pop culture in an exciting new way for kids,” said Russell Hicks, Nick’s president, content development and production. “Nickelodeon has an undeniable track record in producing hit game shows and we are adapting the format to reflect the way kids consume content today.”
“Everyone at RSP worked hard to develop a new game show that showcases the way kids consume entertainment today,” added Sher.
